Hey, I'm Paige!

My goal is to help you:

  • Make birth, and postpartum preparation, feel not only doable, but also enjoyable.
  • Give you the all the unbiased, evidence-based information so YOU can discover which options are best for you and your family, given your specific wants, goals, and circumstances.
  • Help you build foundational trust, confidence, and resilience to cope through anything your birthing experience may throw at you.
  • Help your partner an active, and confident part of your support team, and even help you build your connection as you go through this transformational experience together.
  • Have a calm, confident, autonomous, empowered birth, with less pain.

I wasn't always obsessed with birth...

in fact, I thought people obsessed with birth were weird!

Ha! How life would humble me as I had my own babies...

I learned quickly that EMPOWERMENT in your birth is up to YOU.

What is an Empowering Birth?

It's the center of all that I do here in my courses and sessions.

An empowering birth empowerment does not mean having a “perfect” birth; it’s about having a birth experience where you feel respected, supported, informed, and in control.

It's deeply rooted in trusting yourself and your body’s ability to give birth. It’s about listening to your intuition and recognizing that you are the expert on your own body.

Empowerment in birth comes from having a fundamental knowledge and confidence to: make informed decisions, navigate the unexpected, to feel safe and secure with your support team, and to trust that you have the power and ability to choose what's right for you and your baby.

If you are not an active part of your care and decision making- someone else is going to do that for you... and they're not considering your wants, goals, thoughts, or beliefs.

Are you ready gain the knowledge, trust, and confidence, so YOU, too can feel the strength and power from an empowering birth experience?

How I went from absolutely CLUELESS about with,

to having a major birth obsession...

Summer 2016

We were pregnant! But unfortunately, our pregnancy ended in a loss at 10 weeks.

My husband and I were heartbroken.

The process of the miscarriage and healing was nothing like I was told it would be. It was so traumatic.

But then- and even still, I carry so much love for that baby

Winter 2018

In 2018, we got pregnant again, and met our sweet babe in December.

My birth didn't go as I had hoped it would. My husband and I did almost nothing to prepare.

My plan was essentially to just "go with the flow" and "do whatever my provider said."

Reflecting back, I think the trauma of the loss gave me the "I don't care how I get there, I just want to have a healthy baby" mentality...

2019

As I reflected on my birth experience, I realized that my husband and I didn't give ourselves the education, tools, or support we needed to actually help me have the birth experience I was hoping for...

and by just doing whatever the provider said, I completely lost my autonomy and so much empowerment. It felt a lot like things happened TO me, instead of WITH me, or FOR me.

While it was an "okay" experience over all, I immediately knew I wanted things to be different the next time.

Spring 2020

In March 2020, we found out we were expecting again (psst... anyone remember what a crazy time in the world THAT was).

THIS time around, I was not messing around...

I did ALL the things to stack the odds in my favor for an autonomous, confident, empowered, and unmedicated birth.

I had my absolute DREAM birth. I was completely ecstatic.

November 2020

As I sat in the postpartum room, getting to meet my new baby, my OB came in to say "That was amazing, what did you do to prepare? Everyone should do that!"

... and I had that LIGHTBULB moment. I knew immediately that I wanted to help other parents feel as freaking amazing as I did.

2 Months Postpartum

Man, that passion was on FIRE. I started my Doula training just 2 months postpartum, and became certified in childbirth ed in the months following. I even quit my full-time job to pursuit birth work full time.... and here I am, years later supporting hundreds of parents around the world to feel as empowered as I did.

My hope for you...

My hope for you is that you don't do what I did when I had my first.

The day of your baby's birth should be fully of joy and empowerment.

My hope is that you see the value in being an active part of what actually happens to you, and to your baby during your birth. It's just not worth it to go in without the knowledge and tools to navigate the medical system, and cope through the intensity and emotions of labor and birth.

I know it can feel so overwhelming, and there's SO many options out there.
